Why Mason Taylor
Sit· highStarting TE and ascending pass-catcher. Reliable chain-mover with fluid route feel and every-down usage.
Ruled Out this week — zero points guaranteed. Even if active, a 3.9 projection vs a tough CHI TE matchup (6 of 32) wouldn't warrant a start.
- Currently ruled out — not a viable start until his status changes.
- CHI ranks 6 of 32 against TEs (one of the tougher matchups, 3-game sample).
- Vegas implies 18.5 team points as 8.5-point underdogs.
- Listed TE on the latest depth chart with a 66% snap share.
The call
- Availability is listed as Out, which settles the call on its own: he cannot score from your lineup.
- Even setting the injury aside, the 3.9 PPR projection is well below startable TE territory in a 12-team league.
- The matchup is unfriendly: CHI ranks 6 of 32 against tight ends (32 = softest), though on a thin 3-game sample.
- Game environment offers no rescue. The team's implied total is only 18.5 with an 8.5-point spread, and his 10% target share came from a single game.

Jets Head Coach: ‘This is Probably One of the Most Explosive Groups We’ll Go Against’
The Jets will be without No. 1 tight end Mason Taylor (thumb) and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin) when they face the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
New York deployed its tight ends in a myriad of ways, including a rushing TD by first-round pick Kenyon Sadiq.
