HardATP 500

An ATP 500 on outdoor hard in Dubai, with Doha in the same fortnight and Indian Wells next on the swing. The ball flies here and the serve skids through, leaving the returner almost no time: holds sit at 84%, aces come often and a quarter of sets reach a tiebreak. Games totals run long inside matches that finish quickly. Federer won four titles here, Medvedev two.
