Ladies Linz - Linz

A WTA 500 played indoors on clay in Linz, in the clay block with Stuttgart and Madrid. Indoor clay is fast for the surface, though the serve still collects almost nothing: holds sit at 66%, aces are rare and tiebreaks decide fewer than one set in ten. Totals stay modest and most matches end in straights. Flat first-strike ball-strikers are rewarded. Andreeva and Alexandrova have each won it.
