ClayATP 250

An ATP 250 on outdoor clay in Geneva, wedged between Rome and Roland Garros. The clay measures at ordinary pace, so the rally settles matches rather than the serve: holds sit at 76%, tiebreaks are uncommon and two thirds of matches end in straights. The favourite usually survives. Clay-court grinders are the profile, and Ruud and Wawrinka have two titles each.
